2024 EnPleinAirTEXAS Ranch Fellowship Sponsorship
Over the past ten years, EnPleinAirTEXAS programming has centered around the EnPleinAirTEXAS Competition. 165 renowned plein air artists have visited San Angelo, experienced its western heritage, enjoyed its hospitality, and painted every hidden corner and backroad of San Angelo, its rivers, and surrounding ranchlands.
This year, the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts presents a new immersive West Texas invitational experience for past EnPleinAirTEXAS artists. The EnPleinAirTEXAS Ranch Fellowship invites four artists to spend three weeks living and painting on a private ranch, taking advantage of the natural beauty and historical significance of the area to inspire their paintings.
The Ranch Fellowship builds on EnPleinAirTEXAS’ art education impact on local school children. With an understanding of the importance of art in a child’s development, the Ranch Fellowship artists, working with SAMFA’s Education Department, will engage with SAISD students to share their passion and knowledge of plein air painting.
